Creative movement (age 2 1/2-4)
A class for the beginner student focusing on gross motor development through essential dance skills such as jumping, skipping, rolling, etc., Large focus of class is also introducing student to proper dance class ettiquette and working in a space with the group. Familiar movement games are used to encourage student to be comfortable in class, while new concepts are introduced to encourage childs own creativity.
Girls: Pink ballet slippers and clothes that are comfortable to move in. Leotards and tights are encouraged but not required.
Boys: Black ballet slippers or black socks with non-slip grips on bottom and clothes thata re comfortable to move in
Pre-ballet/ Tiny tappers combo class (age 4-5)
An introduction to the most basic beginning fundamentals of ballet, followed by a fun creative movement game to encourage free movement, then students change their shoes for a 10-15 minute introduction to the very beginning steps of tap at the end of class. A great choice for students to old for creative movement class but new to dance and still learning to work in a class/group setting.
Students will perform a ballet based creative movement routine in the annual recitals.
Parent/guardian must be present in waiting area during class to assist with quick shoe changes.
Girls: Leotards/dance dresses and tights are required at this level - any color, Pre-ballet: Pink ballet slippers Tap: Black maryjane style tap shoes
Boys: Pre-ballet: Black ballet slippers or black socks with non-slip grips on the bottom. Tap: Black oxford style tap shoes
Shake what your mama gave you! (age 2-5)
A parent/child class that opens with a warm-up and partnering exercises and creative movement games then moves into a jazz or ballet (depending on week) based class presented in a way to give parent a good workout but be simple enough for child to follow along and enjoy. Occasionally fun props and obstacles will be included during class to engage the younger child.
All participants: Clothes that are comfortable to move in
Girls: Pink ballet slippers Boys: black ballet slippers or black socks with non-slip grips on bottom
Parents: Ballet slippers, dance sneakers or clean socks. (If parent chooses to participate in performances they will dance in regular tennis shoes or dance sneakers
Parent/Child Yoga (age 2-5 with adult partner)
Get ready to relax, tone and strengthen your body through yoga. A slower paced quiet class that is an excellent parent/child bonding experience. This class does not perform in recitals.
All participants:Comfortable clothing and bare feet
Ballet 1(age 5-6)
The first level of structured ballet training. Fundamentals are repeated throughout the year to encourage mastery and confidence before moving into higher levels.
Leotards/dance dresses and tights are required at this level.
Girls: Pink ballet slippers Boys: Black ballet slippers
Ballet 2 (age 6-8) Ballet 3 (age 8-10) Ballet 4 (age 11-15)
The next levels in ballet training. Beginner Fundamentals are still repeated to encourage students new to dance, and varying levels of intermediate to advanced moves are introduced depending on level of class to challenge returning students.
Leotards/dance dresses and tights are required at this level.
Girls: Pink ballet slippers Boys: Black ballet slippers
Ballet level 3 and 4 must have split sole shoes - Please no full soles
Level three and four must secure hair into a bun for classes
Pre-pointe technique (age 11+)
Class must be taken in conjunction with Ballet level 4
A technique class for the student interested in going en pointe in the future that focuses completely on developing proper strength and alignment to move onto pointe level training. Students must be enrolled in pre-pointe technique to be considered for pointe work. Student will be moved to pointe work once they have demonstrated they have the physical and mental maturity to handle the demands of pointe work to be determined at the sole judgement of the instructor.
Please remember when considering your child for pointe work that all bodies mature at different rates. Some students may move onto pointe quickly while some may require years of training, No student will be considered for pointe work before having taken at least three years of consecutive ballet training. Training properly through pre-pointe class is a way we insure maximum safety for all our dancers developing skills and bodies.
This is a non-performing class and will not have performances during any of our annual recitals.
Leotards/dance dresses and tights are required at this level.

Tap 1 (age 4-6)

Jazz 1 w/ hip hop combo class (age 6-8)
A beginning level jazz class with beginning hip hop combinations and floor work at the end
Student will perform hip hop or jazz dance during recitals depending on show song/theme
Special care is taken to insure all music and chereography is age appropriate.
Clothes that are comfortable to move in - Please have knees covered during class as alot of floor work is done.
Black split sole dance sneakers are required
Jazz 2 (age 8-15)
An intermediate level jazz class with the main focus on the Broadway style of Jazz. Throughout the year students will also be introduced to contemporary jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.
Clothes that are comfortable to move in - Please have knees covered during class as alot of floor work is done.

Cheer POM (Ages 8-15)
This is a supplement to Jazz 2and must be taken in conjunction with Jazz 2. Adding this class makes Jazz level 2 an hour long class fee instead of 45 minutes.
The fundamentals of Cheer dance are explored with a focus on arm and core strengthening and partnering work.
Class requires a one time fee of 25.00$ for poms - Poms may be reused every year.
Class does learn a short routine seperate from Jazz 2 to perform int he spring recital, but will use the same costume as jazz 2, so a seperate costume fee will not be required.

Hip hop 2 (age 9-15)
A beginning/intermediate level hip hop class for the older dancer. Also known as "pop" or "street" dancing. There is an emphasis during the year on building arm strength as well as overall stamina to keep fast paced moves strong and energetic.
Special care is taken to insure all music and chereography is age appropriate.
Clothes that are comfortable to move in - Please have knees covered during class as alot of floor work is done.
Black spilt sole dance sneakers are highly encouraged, Regular black sneakers used for nothing but dance class will be acceoted as well.
Tumble Bugs (ages 3-5)
Tumbling 2 (ages 6-8)
Tumbling 3 (ages 9 -15)
Basic floor gymnastics skills are introduced and built upon as student progresses through the levels. Great for focusing energy, and building strength.
Bare feet is required for tumbling class.
Girls: Leotards and close fitting shorts or leggings. For the safety of tumbler no loose shirts or pants please!
Boys: Fitted pants with shirts they can tuck into the pants. For the safety of tumbler no loose shirts or pants please!
