Fall classes start September 13th 2018


Classes are held on WEDNESDAYS

(day tentative, may possibly change to Thursdays) each week  


3:30-4:00 Cr. Movement  2-4

An introduction to dance for our littlest stars. Easy, fun game filled movements are done to encourage growth of gross motor skills and bodily control and get students comfortable with class expectations and working together.

Dress Code: Leotard and tights are required,  Skirts and shorts or leggings are allowed. Ballet shoes are required Pink for girls, Black for boys.  Hair pulled back out of face in a ponytail or bun.

 

4:00-4:30 Beg. Ballet 4-6

Each class will consist of approx. 30 minute ballet class followed by an introduction to basic tap dance movements. Once a month we will bring the mats out to practice basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, bridges and cartwheels.

Dress Code: Leotard and tights are required,  Skirts and shorts or leggings are allowed. Ballet shoes are required Pink for girls, Black for boys.  Hair pulled back out of face in a ponytail or bun.


4:30-5:15 Beg. Jazz/tap/tumbling combo class Age 4-6

Each class will consist of approx. 30 minute jazz class followed by an introduction to basic tap dance movements. Once a month we will bring the mats out to practice basic tumbling skills such as rolls, headstands, bridges and cartwheels.

 

5:15-5:45 Jazz funk  and basic tumbling Age 7 and up

A mesh of Jazz dance and hip hop, once a month we will also bring our mats in and practice basic tumbling skills such as rolls, head/hand stands, cartwheels and walkovers.

Dress Code: Leotard and tights are required,  Skirts and shorts or leggings are allowed. Black slip on Jazz shoes are required. Hair pulled back out of face in a ponytail or bun.

 

5:45-6:30 Ballet Age 7-13

Dress Code: Leotard and tights are required,  Skirts and shorts are allowed. Ballet shoes are required Pink for girls, Black for boys. Hair should be in a bun.

 

6:30- 7:00 Tap Age 7-13

Dress Code: Leotard and tights are required,  Skirts and shorts or leggings are allowed. Black slip on  tap booties are required. Hair pulled back out of face in a ponytail or bun.

 

7:00-7:45 Adult/Teen tap age 16 and up

Dress Code: Comfortable clothing to move in, Black tap shoes of your choosing.

Class Fees 

Fees are paid monthly and are based on how much time student is in class each week. 


30 minute class: $27.00 

45 minutes: $32.00
60 minute: $37.00
1 hour 15 minutes: $42.00
1 hour 30 minutes: $47.00
1 hour 45 minutes: $52.00
2 hours: $57.00
More than 2 hours: $ 60.00

 

Class fee payment policy:

1st months payment must be made at registration to reserve spot. 

Class fees will be due 2 weeks before the start of each month. Any student with a balance due at the first class of the month will be billed a 20$ late fee and will not be allowed to participate in class until all fees are paid in full. An invoice will be emailed to each student monthly. Invoices can be paid by card online through the invoice or by cash, check, or card in the studio. 


Additional Fees –Knappa location:

Winter showcase accessories: 10.00$ per class (Due with October class fees)

Spring costume fees: 50.00$ per class (Due with February class payment)


All fees paid are non-refundable.


Knappa Performance opportunities:

Winter showcase: Students will present a simple dance routine for parents and participate in a Christmas party the last week of classes before Christmas. This presentation will take place during regular class hours for each class. Students will be required to provide the following for this performance: Ballet students: Black leotard, pink tights.

Jazz and tap students: Black Leotard and black leggings.

Fee of 10.00$ per class will be charged for each student for accessories.

Spring recital and awards ceremony: The big ending to our year showing off all we’ve learned on stage with Clatskanie location, followed by an awards ceremony. 50.00$ costume fee per class.

Oaks park performance: In the spring some classes will be invited to travel to Oaks Park to perform our spring recital routines at the amusement park, no additional fee to attend this performance. Performers get free ride wristbands for the park. The Classes invited are determined by amount of time available for our performance.
