Performance Team

Reach the Stars Youth Arts Performance team is a fun, educational, team work building and social bonding experience open to students in 1st grade and older.

We compete at two competitions each year. One in the Portland/Vancouver area and One in Seattle/Tacoma Area. They take place on a weekend (Fri-Sun) between February 2024-May 2024, Dates and exact location is announced in the fall as soon as the competitions release their schedules. Performance team also performs their dances in the spring recital, and other community performance opportunities that may arise through out the year. 

Performance team is open to students :

-in 1st grade and older (As of September 3rd 2024) 

-Have danced with Reach the Stars for at least one fall, spring or summer session prior to enrolling.

(New to Clatskanie- but danced somewhere else prior? Call us to arrange a meeting to determine eligibility)

Performance team students are required to take Jazz/Tap and Ballet for the entire 2024-2025 year

Students are also required to attend performance team rehearsals On Tuesdays 6:45-7:45

All students choosing to join the team must be able to commit to required classes, rehearsals and performances, have good attendance in classes throughout the year and be able to take corrections with a positive attitude and apply them quickly to their dancing and be prepared to work hard.  

All team members are required to have a team jacket. New team members are required to purchase one through the studio for $50.00, returning students may wear the prior year’s jacket as long as it still fits and is in good condition.  Design of jacket is subject to change based on availability. 

You can choose which level of participation you would like to join at performance team at. Fee can be paid in full in September or Fee can be broken up into 4 equal payments September-December if needed. Please specify you would like the payment plan when registering.

Level one

Compete in Main group routine at both Portland and Seattle competitions

Fee: $300.00

Level 2

Compete in Main group and a duo/trio at both Portland and Seattle competitions

Fee: $550.00

Level 3A (Available only to students who have been on the team for more than 1 year)

Compete in Main group, a duo/trio at both Portland and Seattle competitions

And do a solo at Seattle Competition only

Fee: $800.00

Level 3B (Available only to students who have been on the team for more than 1 year)

Compete in Main group, a duo/trio at both Portland and Seattle competitions

And do a solo at both Portland and Seattle Competitions

Fee: $1000.00

Fee includes: Competition entry fees, Performance team rehearsal class for the year, performance team routine costumes, accessories and tights.

Fee does not include regular monthly class fees, dance shoes, regular class costumes for winter/spring recitals, travel expenses or team jacket (Separate 50$ fee)

Student must have a committed parent/guardian that can bring them to and from competitions.
